Public transport buses and TER (express regional train) run between Aix-en-Provence (central rail station) or Marseille (Gare Saint-Charles) and Gardanne rail station. The conference location can be reached from Gardanne rail station on foot (a 25-minute walk).

Aix-en-Provence or simply Aix (Occitan: Ais de Provença), is a city and commune in southern France, about 30 km (20 mi) north of Marseille.
